For decades now our targeted low income area at 55th Avenue east to the Oakland-San Leandro
border has suffered from growing unemployment due mainly due to post Civil Rights flight of
wealth and businesses that generated jobs from the area. Over time, conditions of hopelessness
and despair have set in resulting in high crime rates and other unprecedented antisocial behavior.
Unemployment in the area in general is as high as 30% and consistently three times the national
rate. The group most affected by this lack of jobs and economic opportunity is the area's youth.
We believe and findings show that a primary contributor to youth crime is inoccupation. Our plan
is designed to occupy area youth through employment.

The residents of the area continue to spend significantly with Estimated Annual Household
Expenditures totaling $3,434,915,781.70 (Over 3.4 billion dollars). According to Retail Trade job
creation data from the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), consumer expenditures at this level
could potentially create more than the 46,813 in the area's documented total workforce. The
missing element is community based businesses to meet the area's consumer and employment
needs. For the record, s 79.5 percent of America's jobs come from small businesses. To view list

Until now, due to the absence of available business working capital, our targeted was helpless to
replace the businesses that took flight out of the area. But, there are now many new post Civil
Rights millionaires (Athletes, Entertainers and Celebrities etc.,) that hail from the area who would
likely be eager to give back to their former community in the form of profit making private
business ownership. Our plan targets these groups for business ownership to create the jobs
needed for the implementation of our Youth Employment/Youth Employment Development
Program for the area that is designed to provide OJT, Apprenticeships and Vocational Training
for area youth. This program first targets the 961 unemployed area youth 16 – 21 years of age
with jobs for the 574 unemployed youth 21 – 24 as the next highest priority. Also, a benefit of
business ownership by the abovementioned groups would be a source of income beyond their
periods of actual athletic play, fame or celebrity. (1) To study our Youth Employment/Youth

Our funding model is what we call the "Magic Johnson Model" where Magic profitably owns
and operates businesses in urban low income urban areas. Our plan is to put together a platoon of
Magic Johnson's to own businesses that will generate area employment opportunities.
Our plan connects the dots for job creation/youth employment which are: (1). a framework for job
creation (2). over 3.4 billion dollars in existing area resident purchasing power i.e., annual
consumer expenditures, (3). financially able prospective new business owners and (4) a funding
strategy. (1). To view list of job creating projects hit "Back" button and click on LIST OF

We invite you to join us in our Youth Employment centered "Possibility Thinking" to provide
jobs for youth in our targeted area. We believe that in America, if one can think it, one can do it.
